ENDOSCOPIKI SA undertook the upgrade of the Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripter of the Urology Department of the General Hospital of Kavala.

More specifically, the department was equipped with the Delta III Pro extracorporeal lithotripter by Dornier MedTech. This model is the flagship model in the ExtrΤacorporeal Lithotripsy industry, with the most sales worldwide. The Dornier Delta III Pro is a highly efficient system that offers optimal results for the treatment of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL). It is equipped with EMSE 180 system, which has the most clinically proven shock wave technology, with a large coupling area and 170mm penetration depth. Moreover, with OPTICOUPLE, only 57% of the total applied shock wave energy is required for the effective stone treatment, achieving 94.5% stone-free rate and shorter treatment duration. It offers complete imaging capabilities, with the option of localizing stones using either X-ray or ultrasound, or both. Finally, it provides maximized energy supply and improved efficiency, supporting urologists in relieving and more effectively treating their patients with Urinary Tract Stones.
Installation
Installation and training was completed by our company’s expertly trained Extracorporeal Lithotripsy (ESWL) team. With this upgrade, doctors and nursing staff of the Urology Department of General Hospital of Kavala, will be able to use and be trained in the most modern technologies of Extracorporeal Lithotripsy (ESWL).
