ENDOSCOPIKI SA in collaboration with Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH supported the educational EAGEN / ESGE Advanced Endoscopy Workshop. The workshop was organized by the European Association for Gastroenterology Endoscopy and Nutrition and European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy at the Experimental Research Center ELPEN 16-17 of June. Dr. Arjun Koch, Dr. Georgios Maurogenis and Dr. Stefanos Bassioukas were the instructors of the workshop.
ESD (Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection) and EMR (Endoscopic Mucosal Dissection) techniques are increasingly practiced in Europe. As a result there is a growing need for intensive individual training. The training program aimed to master endoscopic mucosal resections and submucosal dissections in a realistic setting using a live porcine model. Next to hands-on EMR and ESD training, the instructors talked about the management of potential complications such as bleedings and perforations.
Our company’s permanent policy has always been to support educational seminars and contribute to the future of medicine. Thereby, for another year in collaboration with Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH, we provided 6 VIO3 electrosurgical workstations for the hands-on training of the participants of EAGEN / ESGE Advanced Endoscopy Workshop.
