We are pleased to announce the first installation in the Greek public health sector of the most advanced Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) platform by Fujifilm Healthcare Europe at the Metaxa Memorial Anticancer Hospital of Piraeus.
At the Gastroenterology Clinic of the hospital, the ARIETTA 850 platform was successfully installed together with the EG-740UT echoendoscope by Fujifilm Healthcare Europe, significantly strengthening the department’s diagnostic and interventional EUS capabilities.
The installation took place in the presence of:
- Sarados Efstathopoulos, Governor of the Anticancer Hospital of Piraeus “Metaxa”
- Eftychia Tsironi, MD, Director of the Gastroenterology Clinic
- Emmanouil Telakis, MD, Gastroenterologist
This milestone installation brings exceptional diagnostic precision and advanced therapeutic EUS capabilities to the department, further enhancing patient safety and procedural effectiveness.
The ARIETTA 850 in combination with the EG-740UT by Fujifilm Healthcare Europe is the only EUS platform featuring single crystal technology, offering advanced capabilities in endoscopic ultrasonography, including:

- 4.2 mm working channel supporting advanced interventional techniques
