History

ENDOSCOPIKI SA is the first Greek MedTech company that offered advanced and innovative solutions in endoscopy to the Greek market. Theofanis K. Kaloglou, created a company selling medical devices in 1967 with the primary goal to improve the lives of Greeks. Until today, he remains active, holding the position of honorary president, and sets an example as a symbol of hard work and insight. Later, in 1984, ENDOSCOPIKI became an LLC, as a result of its continuous growth and successful course, envisioning its bright future and its dominant position in the Greek market. When ENDOSCOPIKI became a Société Anonyme in 1998, its position was consolidated and new development paths were created both for the company and the industry in general.

2018-19-21

ENDOSCOPIKI SA receives three years the award “The Most Admired Enterprises in Greece” at the Diamonds of the Greek Economy forum, for its successful course and excellent performance based on financial results.

2021

Theofanis Kaloglou, Honorary President of ENDOSCOPIKI SA is awarded an honorary plaque by Dornier MedTech, for the 35 years of cooperation and the Award for Valued Partner & Contribution to Success.

2020

Kimon Kaloglou, CEO of ENDOSCOPIKI SA, receives the Award for Outstanding Capital Sales Performance from FUJIFILM Europe for the company’s all time high sales result in 2020.

2017

2011

K. Kaloglou comes to an agreement with Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH for the exclusive representation and distribution of their products.

2008-10

Kimon Kaloglou, CEO of ENDOSCOPIKI SA, receives twice the Award for Outstanding Achievements by the president of MTG GmbH, Richard Hampl-Portenlanger, for the sales made during 2008-2010.

2004-05

Kimon Kaloglou, CEO of ENDOSCOPIKI SA, receives two years in a row the Award for International Business Development from the company Smiths Medical for the outstanding sales in the IVF business.

2002

Theofanis Kaloglou, honorary president of ENDOSKOPIKI SA, is awarded the Fujinon Loyalty Award by FUJIFILM Europe in grateful recognition of his outstanding effort and support since the very start of their European Business operation in 1979.

1997-98

ENDOSCOPIKI LLC moves to its new, modern privately owned building on Zagoras Street and becomes a Société Anonyme, while adapting its modern logo, that is still used today.

1992

Under the leadership of Kimon Kaloglou, ENDOSCOPIKI LLC enters the IVF industry for the first time in Greece, with the distribution of important companies such as Wallace (now Cooper Surgical) and MTG (now Vitrolife).

1990s

Greek trade fairs and medical conferences, during which ENDOSCOPIKI presented innovative medical devices by FUJIFILM, Karl Storz and Dornier MedTech.

1986

First contact of the second generation of Kaloglou family in the MedTech sector was the trip of Kimon Kaloglou to Tuttlingen, Germany, for Product Training by the Karl Storz company.

1986

ENDOSCOPIKI LLC begins its collaboration with the German company Dornier MedTech, which specializes in the field of urology Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy (ESWL). This year is a milestone for the field of urology in Greece, as the ENDOSCOPIKI installed the first ESWL lithotripter (HM3 Model) in the Urology Clinic of Sismanoglio Hospital.

1984

The company is constantly growing and turns from personal into Th.Kaloglou & Co ENDOSCOPIKI LLC, paving the way for a bright future.

1974-79

Initial discussions and negotiations of Theofanis Kaloglou with the president of FUJIFILM Europe. After 3 years of negotiations, a partial agreement was reached which required the sale of 7 endoscopes in one year. The goal was achieved, since 21 endoscopes were sold in 1977 and FUJIFILM Europe trusted Theofanis Kaloglou for the exclusive representation and distribution in Greece in 1979.

1972-74

Theofanis K. Kaloglou comes to an agreement with Ms. Sybill Storz for the exclusive representation and distribution of KARL STORZ in Greece, cooperation that lasted many years.

1967

Theofanis K. Kaloglou founds his own private company and enters the MedTech sector. The new company becomes the distributor of MEDICO and CARDIOFRANCE companies that were active in pacemaker manufacturing industry.

1965

The first contact of Theofanis K. Kaloglou with the MedTech sector was when he working as a technician in the flexible and rigid endoscopes for OLYMPUS and KARL STORZ companies. Both companies had offered him training in Hamburg, Germany. Around the same time (1966-1967) while he was participating in major trade fairs for medical devices he observed the dynamic entry of FUJIFILM Europe into the field of medical devices, which becomes an inhibiting factor for the future progress of ENDOSKOPIKI SA.
