Endoscopiki S.A. proudly supported an important awareness and preventive screening initiative for liver health, which took place in Piraeus and Perama under the auspices of the European Parliament, with the participation of the European Liver Patients’ Association (ELPA).

The initiative was held on Monday, December 8, and Tuesday, December 9, at the Piraeus Medical Association, where our partner Echosens provided a FibroScan® 430 Mini device. Our company, Endoscopiki S.A., was present to support the initiative and to train the physicians who performed the examinations for the citizens who attended.

The event was honored by the active participation of Member of the European Parliament Mr. Nikos Papandreou, while the Mayor of Piraeus, Mr. Giannis Moralis, also visited the initiative.

Due to the particularly strong public response, the action continued in Perama on Thursday and Friday. This phase of the program was implemented by the Endoscopy Department of Tzaneio General Hospital, under the direction of Mr. Ioannis Vougadiotis, with approximately 60 citizens undergoing screening.

Overall results of the initiative:

• Approximately 240 citizens were examined in Piraeus and Perama.
• The importance of prevention and early diagnosis of liver diseases was clearly highlighted.
