The first lithotripsy procedures using the new THULIO 100W High Power Advanced Thulium Laser with RealPulse Technology, developed by Dornier MedTech, were performed at the General Hospital of Kalamata.
The system was recently installed following a generous donation, significantly enhancing the capabilities of the hospital’s Urology Department in the field of minimally invasive endourological surgery. The procedures were carried out under the direction of Dr. Konstantinos Skrepetis, Director of the Urology Department, and included the treatment of ureteral and renal stones. The advanced RealPulse Technology enabled highly effective and controlled fine dusting, even in demanding clinical cases.
