2nd Basic Colonoscopy Training Course Successfully Completed in Greece

The 2nd Basic Colonoscopy Training Course in Greece was successfully completed on 20 and 21 February 2026 at Endoscopiki SA Academy, marking another important milestone in structured endoscopic education and hands-on clinical training.

Organized in collaboration with the Second Department of Gastroenterology of NKUA Medical School (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and Fujifilm Healthcare Europe Academy, the course once again brought together leading academic expertise and advanced simulation technology in a high-level educational initiative dedicated to the next generation of endoscopists.

Over two intensive training days, resident doctors from hospitals across Greece participated in a comprehensive, standardized program designed to strengthen both theoretical knowledge and technical competence in colonoscopy.

Under the expert guidance of distinguished faculty members

Prof. Konstantinos Triantafyllou, Prof. Ioannis Papanikolaou, Assistant Professor Paraskevas Gkolfakis, Dr. Eleni Koukoulioti, and Prof. Mostafa Ibrahim . Participants engaged in structured hands-on sessions using high-fidelity Mikoto Colonoscopy Simulators.

The simulation-based approach enabled trainees to refine scope handling techniques, improve procedural efficiency, and gain practical tips directly from internationally recognized educators. The interactive format fostered discussion, real-time feedback, and skill development in a controlled and supportive learning environment.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Prof. Mostafa Ibrahim for his distinguished contribution and to Fujifilm Healthcare Europe for their continued support and valued presence throughout the program.

Hosted at Endoscopiki SA Academy under the auspices of NKUA Medical School, the course once again highlighted a shared commitment to advancing medical education through structured, high-quality, and innovation-driven training.

Through initiatives like this, we continue contributing to the future of medicine — empowering healthcare professionals with the skills, confidence, and expertise required to deliver excellence in endoscopic care.
